Shoulder Immobilization Orthosis

Ortonia ShoulderFix provides immobilization of the shoulder joint after injuries and surgeries.

The orthosis has a fixing belt on the abdomen with three straps to fix the upper limb: one on the shoulder, one on the forearm and one on the wrist. This limits unwanted movements, reducing pain and promoting faster recovery. The open design makes it easy to maintain hygiene and wound care, as well as to start physical therapy.

The orthosis also reduces the load on the shoulder joint, which promotes healing. Thanks to the rigid splint in the design, it provides reliable fixation, leaving the possibility of movement in the joints between the phalanges of the thumb.

Indications:

• Insufficiency of ligaments and / or capsular apparatus after injuries.
• Immobilization of the acromioclavicular joint.
• Fractures of the humeral head.
• Postoperative rehabilitation.

Contraindications:

• Impaired blood circulation and lymph drainage.
• Damage to the skin in the wearing area.
• Individual intolerance to materials.
