The PatellaTend brace is designed to reduce the overload of the patellar tendon that occurs during sports with frequent jumping. The orthosis creates targeted pressure and micro-massage, stimulating joint receptors and reducing pain. Thanks to the elastic base, the orthosis stretches well during movements, which is comfortable to use. Also, the bandage has special built-in elements with massage protrusions that improve the functioning of the periarticular muscles.

The PatellaTend brace is recommended for use in cases of inflammation of the patellar ligament, chondropathy, pain in the anterior part of the knee joint and femoropatellar arthrosis. Before use, contraindications such as circulatory disorders, skin diseases and individual intolerance to materials should be taken into account.

Measuring and sizing:

To ensure maximum effectiveness and comfort when using the Ortonia PatellaTend, it is important to get the correct fit.

To determine the appropriate size, measurements should be taken according to the following procedure:

1. Patient position – sitting.
2. The lower limb should be bent at an angle of 150 degrees.
3. Measure the circumference under the knee joint.
4. Use a soft tape for measurements.
5. The size is determined in accordance with the table using the data obtained.

If you have any of the following symptoms, use the product only after consulting your doctor:

  • the presence of scars with swelling, swelling, redness or hyperthermia in the area of ​​the skin where it is necessary to wear the bandage;
  • varicose veins below the knee joint;
  • loss of sensation in the leg as a result of neurological changes;
  • impaired local blood circulation in the legs (diabetes mellitus) and decreased sensitivity.
