Orthosis for unloading the lumbar spine Ortonia LumboFix is a special stabilizing orthosis designed for gentle unloading of the lumbar spine in chronic lumbago, muscular or degenerative spinal instability. Suitable for hypermobility of the back, for postoperative immobilization and rehabilitation.

Ortonia LumboFix consists of a reinforced back of the orthosis with four moderately stiff inserts and two elastic bands at the front of the orthosis. Thanks to this design, Ortonia LumboFix acts in two directions at the same time: external and internal support. The back panel of the Orthosis with four rigid inserts supports the spine from the outside, relieving tension from it. From the inside, the spine is supported by increased intra-abdominal pressure. The pressure can be changed by changing the force with which the orthosis is applied. Additionally, the level of pressure is regulated by two elastic bands in the upper part of the orthosis, again depending on how hard to fasten them. This action of the Orthosis leads to a decrease in pain and discomfort.
